Saniflo SaniVITE | Gray Water Pump$ 385.05
Ideal for adding a laundry room or kitchen to virtually any space in your home or business, the Saniflo Sanivite pumps vertically up to 16 feet, and is easy to install. Each kit includes the Saniflo Sanivite, an optional descaler, which cleans, removes, and softens hard water deposits throughout the macerator, and the SaniALARM system, which sets off an alarm if the water in the macerating unit rises to a dangerously high level.
Unlike other gray water pumps, the Sanivite can pump waste up to 16 feet up to the sewer line, and over 150 feet away from a soil stack. This fact makes the Sanivite ideal for use in basement apartments or virtually anywhere else in the house where additional fixtures are required. This unit will pump waste water out and away from a large selection of sources, including the kitchen sink, washing machine, and dishwasher.
Designed to hold up to the toughest use, this unit will be perfect for a variety of light- to heavy-duty residential and commercial uses. Ask about the 2-year full manufacturer warranty, as well as the extended 3-year warranty available with product registration.

Specifications & Installation Manual:
The SaniVITE is a system that is used to install a kitchen or laundry room up to 16 feet below the sewer line, or even up to 150 feet away from a soil stack.
This unit is a gray water pump that is ideally suitable for use in a basement apartment or anywhere in the house where additional fixtures are most wanted. It will pump waste water away from a variety of sources such as: a kitchen sink, laundry sink, washing machine (indirect connection), dishwasher, bar sink, etc.
The SaniVITE model was designed to sustain the toughest applications meant for gray water pumps. Its pumping capabilities and unique design are the reason why these range of pumps are preferred for heavy duty applications.
Warranty: 2-Year Full Manufacturer Warranty
Extended 3-Year Warranty with Product Registration (www.Saniflo.com/Register)
How It Works:
The inside of the SaniVITE is comprised of a pressure chamber, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the pump. When the water enters the SaniVITE , it activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure. A spindle/shaft drives the impeller and therefore the moving parts are kept to an absolute minimum. Water enters the chamber and is pumped away into the sanitary sewer.
The unit pumps the effluent upward to 16 feet and/or 150 feet horizontally (with gravity fall). Once the water is discharged and the water level in the container goes down, the micro switch deactivates the unit until water enters the unit again. A normal operating cycle can be as short as 2 - 10 seconds depending upon the discharge pipe run configuration; power consumption is therefore minimal.
In addition to a sink, the pump will also accept and discharge the waste water from a variety of other sanitary fixtures such as: a shower, a bathtub, a urinal and a whirlpool. When adding a bathtub or shower, a base will have to be constructed. This base should be made out of a 2" x 6" (minimum) or 2" x 8" (recommended) on edge, to allow for the installation of a P-trap and the required 1/4"per foot gravity flow towards the pump unit.
The waste water from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the unit via two 1-1/2 inch inlets, on either side of the housing and an additional inlet on the top of the unit. The discharge elbow on top of the Sanivite can be turned either to the left, to the right, or towards the back, depending on the discharge installation. A non-return valve, which comes already assembled on the discharge elbow, prevents back flow into the unit.
This unit has been designed with a vent connection on the lid. All plumbing codes require connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a two-way air vent. The use of mechanical vents, air admittance valves or similar devices are not permitted as these are considered one-way air vent systems.
The SaniVITE is small enough to fit comfortably inside a kitchen cabinet or vanity or inside the overhang of a whirlpool. It is also highly recommended for the gray water pump to be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.
